sorority stereotypes

by: uconn

these sorority stereotypes have got to go. I've seen so many people drop out of rush because they didn't get the house they wanted, or the group of girls they thought were 'top teir.' each house has a great group of girls, and basically believes in the same 4 pillars of greek life. its unfortunate that there are really great sororities with a reputation that always keeps them down in numbers, when in reality, if you joined them you would see how amazing they actually are. If you are going into this process with a closed mind, you probably aren't ready to meet who you're true sisters are.

THANK YOU! i'm glad someone is bringing this to attention, especially with all of the bashing. Does a dumb website really determine how organizations are 'ranked'? No. If people really feel threatened by something like this and have to bash other people, you have bigger issues my friend.

I was looking for Ugg slippers and found myself on this website through an advertisement. I was curious so I decided to look around. Yes, I do have a daughter in a UCONN sorority. No, I don't care the sorority ranking since she is doing well academically, and she is is happy at UCONN. It strikes me that the point of the website is mean-spirited divisiveness. Why not start a website so that sororities can plan activities amongst different sororities to meet and collaborate on charity work, as well as, social events?
However, the thought I am leaving with is this: I am appalled by the quantity of spelling and grammar errors in posts, rankings and discussions. Perhaps it would be a good idea if each student started worrying more about education than whether one sorority/fraternity is better than another.

every sorority has something wonderful to offer, please do not base your opinions on the claims of others as they are often untrue! Please join the house which you fee most connected to, and respect other houses which you did not end up with! We are more similar than we are different at the end of the day and all are looking for a great college experience with our sisters.
