Yes they actually live in the houses! They mostly take care of the physical house and the girls living in and just coordinating a lot of different stuff.

Safety inspections, food plans, general upkeep of the house, safety/security of the house, staffing for the house, visitors, physical events in the house, roommate issues, renovations, etc. Many of them also make sure the girls living in are emotionally okay in general. They mostly closely work with whichever member(s) are in charge of the house, the local advisors for the chapter and also the governing boards from the national chapter.
