Gpa in sororities

by:

Do some houses drop you over your gpa even if it’s above a 3.5? I heard 3.5 and above you should be good but can someone confirm?

with a 3.5 you should be good, below a 3.0 is when you might start to worry. all houses care but the ones who care the most from my understanding are chi o, theta, and dg

PNMS this is not true. The houses that do the most cuts based off GPA are Chi o and Dg, as Chi o has the highest GPA and DG comes in second. If u have below a 3.5 you’ll get cut automatically from these two

Do those houses ( chi o or dg) drop you for being under a 4.0 or would like a 3.6, 3.7, 3.8 be fine ?

the problem is if you are a grade risk and make it through to prefs you could go to the bottom of the bid list

Does the same go for sophomores who are rushing?

What if I have exactly a 3.75? Could I get into those houses where that’s their minimum gpa or would I still most likely get dropped by them for that reason?

I was dropped from dg and chi o before my first round but I had a 4.2 weighted gpa. Maybe it was for other reason but idk

It’s not all grades you can get dropped for other reasons too. Get all the B’s off your social media (booze, Bible, boys, Biden) these are taboo topics when it comes to rush 🤪

Question: do they allow you to have a lower gpa when you rush as a sophomore, as opposed to a freshman? We all know that college classes are much harder than high school and grades in college are usually lower than high school, so do sororities take that into account?
