A message to CU Panhellenic

I, like many many girls this fall was left absolutely heartbroken by this year's fall rush.
I put my heart and soul into being in a sorority and was sorely disappointed. I understand that there were simply not enough space for everyone and thats fine.
I urge you to please learn from your mistakes and to cap the amount of girls allowed to sign up for rush. Yes, people will get dropped and will drop thats part of the process but if you are going to promise that everyone will find where they belong you need to play your part as well.
if there are 9 houses and room for around 150 girls per PC, you cannot allow almost 2000 girls to rush, you need to put a cap on it. ESPECIALLY now that Rush is more popular and Prime put us on the map.
Please, for the sake of the girls that come after me, limit how many girls can sign up.

Well, it’s more like 120 girls per pledge class and is there any confirmation that 2000 girls actually rushed last year? Where did that number come from? Let’s have some real data before we start saying that there’s only a 50% chance of getting a house. Let’s not start scaring everybody.

1809 pnms this year and there was a little over 1500 last year… ur lucky to get a house it the quota for each house is 140. lol. My friends a rho gam btw

So 1809 pnm's is another 20% increase over last year which was already sh&t show. If quota is moved to 140 (which would be insane) that means 1260 girls could receive bids and roughly 1/3 of girls (1 in every 3 girls) going thru rush won't go greek b/c they either drop or get dropped.

Just to put this in perspective, Bama had 2500 girls go through rush and they have 19 sororities (more than double the 9 houses that CU has). CU Panhel and the houses in Boulder are not equiped to have 140 new members in a pc. Learn from your mistakes last year CU Pahel!!!!

wtf- i can not believe cu panhel didn't cap recruitment! Last year's pc's were some of the biggest in the nation behind Alabama and Arkansas. Houses are going to have to have their chapter meetings on their front lawns. Our houses are not equiped for this!

The sad thing is that too many girls will entirely miss out on the greeklife experience because they think they are a Tier one pnm vs a Tier two or even a Tier three girl. Get over yourselves pnm’s! Greek life is amazing no matter what house you are in and tbh you will prob look back with regret if you miss out on this experience. Sorry, but it has to be said.

I don’t think op was trying to scare anyone, but pnm’s have to manage expectations. I think the 2k number from last year was from panhel(?) Can someone confirm how many girls went through rush at cu last year?
