what’s up with CU Panhellenic?
by: PANHELI am starting to feel like cu panhel is really disorganized. I still can’t figure out how so many girls didn’t receive bids this year (?) Was quota set wrong or what? I went to panhel’s website and a lot of the info on there hasn’t been updated since 2020. I know they post on Insta, but how do you still have info from 2020 on your website? Like literally every other CU website is up to date except Boulder Panhellenic. 🙄

i believe almost every sorority hit quota this year (minus i believe tridelt) and there likely was just too many pnm’s and not enough spots. not to mention I know a lot of girls that suicide bid a house they wanted bc their other was a house they really didn’t like and they didn’t get bids bc of that.

agree. girls were told not to suicide but they did anyway. all these girls are basically out of luck because everybody except ddd hit quota. if they suicided a house and got dropped they can’t cob and have to wait a year to rush. the problem is that they will be sophomores at that time and houses will almost always bid a freshman over a sophomore. it’s just really sad that so many girls will entirely miss out on the sorority experience because they got totally fixated on one house 😞

The MRABA also indicates that if you attend pref night with 2 houses and are willing to accept a bid from either you will receive a bid on bid day, although not guaranteed your first choice. However, pnms are reporting getting dropped by both houses after pref night so I have no idea 🤷♀️

Also, even if you are allowed to cob, there is only one house that is cob-ing and I don’t think other houses would be allowed to cob if they hit quota right?

ya I get it that only one house is doing cob now, but what I'm more concerned about is that pnm's that single preferenced and got dropped won't get to do spring cob either? is that really true? panhel needs to clarify and update the website so pnm's understand what their options are

correct, no guarantee year to year who does cob. although I think most if not all took at least a few girls this past spring

If some of these comments are correct, you won't be able to go through spring COB if you suicided and got dropped. You should call Panhel and ask if you are eligible to go through spring COB, or if you have to wait until next year's formal recruitment.

I went through formal as a freshman, got dropped by my fav house, dropped recruitment, and then cob and now I’m in the house that dropped me😂

panel’s website indicates that if you signed an mraba you are not eligible for cob or recruitment for one calendar year. If you did not sign the mraba and withdrew from recruitment prior to pref night you ARE eligible to cob. again, the problem is only one house is currently cobing

"After signing this MRABA, I cannot accept any other bid until the beginning of the
next primary recruitment process on this campus.
I have never been initiated into an NPC sorority. I understand that if I join an NPC
sorority and choose to become an initiated member of that sorority, I cannot join
another NPC member organization, regardless of any circumstances.
I have read and understand this MRABA. I agree to its terms and I am bound by its terms."

Thanks for the info. Did they change the form this year because I know for a fact last year girls who suicided and got dropped then got picked up during fall and/or spring COB.

Is the mraba out of date on the panhel site as well, because it says if you single preference you ARE still able to COB
