What houses are going to surprise us with a better than expected class?

theta, chi o, axo, pi phi, and dg were most talked about and probably got the most girls
kappa had more positive than negative and probably did well
aphi tri delt and gphi seemed hit or miss so we’ll see

DG is going to surprise everyone.

Pi phi seems to be the clear favorite from day 1 (but as someone mentioned, they also seem to have picked their CA girls prior to rush) and the big surprise is that DG out-rushed alpha phi for the next spot.

Totally agree! DG killed it this year. I think aphi got the girls they wanted, but these girls are totally different from Pi Phi & DG

Top 4 will be interesting, everyone obsessed with Pi Phi, been hearing crazy good buzz about Chi O, DG doing the usual and seems like no one is cross rushing APhi but PNMs are really split on them.

Think Pi Phi is 1, Aphi is 4 but it’s DG vs Chi O for 2 and 3

chi o still isn’t in top 3 or 4 because of their last year, this year brought them back to good standing, I think this year made it

I think the person above is ranking for how they are doing during recruitment but even if they weren’t that ranking is no where close to the truth??

A ton of girls suiciding aphi this year and got cut. They fixated on being in a top house and ended with no house. They might be able to cob a bottom house, but they probably won’t want to be in a bottom house (?)

My roommate preffed Aphi & Kappa, suicided APhi and got a call she got dropped. She seems sad but says she is still stands behind her choice. Will be interesting if she is open to a snap or cob bid from a different house.

I just feel so bad for these girls. They just wanted to be in a top house so bad they weren’t even considering mid tier houses. The irony of it is that they probably would’ve had a good experience in any house.

It seems like the girl that got dropped from Aphi could probably go back to Kappa if they COB? I don’t know how many houses will be doing spring recruitment if numbers are what they say they are this year.

a girl on my floor also suicided aphi and got dropped. She only wanted Pi Phi or A Phi. She won’t even consider a mid-tier.

Am a rho g, I got a weird group of girls where majority were eerily similar, like the whole group could bid one house and all fit in. Here is what they were liking for each tier:
Pi Phi & Chi O > DG > APhi
AXO & Theta > Kappa
GPhi > Tri Delt

Almost my whole group had dropped tri delt by pref. Almost every girl was really sad to be dropped by Pi Phi and if they ended up pref there they ranked them first. ALOT of my group ended up with Chi O and AXO for pref. Their favorite houses seemed to be Pi Phi, Chi O, AXO and Theta.

How many girls were dropped? Is it still a guarantee that if you pref two houses, you will automatically get one of the two? Seems like there shouldn’t be this much drama after pref.

Why is it so much harder this year? More girls or the loss of phi mu?

Or smaller quotas?

I know it sounds crazy, but I think it’s the whole Bama Rush phenomenon. Girls are turning out in record numbers all over the country. This is great for greeklife at CU, not so great for all the girls that got cut.

Guessing it’s gonna be like this:
Alpha Chi: Did better than expected
Alpha Phi: Did worse than expected
Chi O: Did better than expected
Tri Delt: Did as expected
DG: Did as expected
Gamma Phi: Did worse than expected
Theta: Did better than expected
Kappa: Did worse than expected
Pi Phi: Did the best as expected

Aphi seems like they got a lot of girls their type but were cross rushing top girls with the other top houses. Chi O seems like they really stepped it up. Seems like AXO and Theta took the best girls in the middle tier. Seems like the girls that would have gone Phi Mu are picking GPhi over TriDelt. Seems like everyone loves PiPhi.

I have actually heard gphi had a good rush this year so I don't think they will do worse, maybe even better? Look at the comments on this site, lots of love for gphi this year. Also, I heard dg absolutely killed it this year so I would say better than expected for them

Agreed with some of the other comments, I could see some of the would be Phi Mu girls dropping them down a bit but it does seem like GPhi is getting some love, seems like maybe they are cross rushing with Kappa this year?

For whatever reason girls who really wanted aphi pref’d aphi, gphi, and ddd and then suicided aphi. I guess it was a strategy that they thought would somehow get them to the top of aphi’s bid list????

The problem is this site. These ranks are total BS and everyone knows it but the poor girls rushing. We don’t have tiers at Boulder. It’s people self reporting. This site is the absolute worst!

Chi and Axo were the most talked about and likely got the best girls after of course piphi who everyone loved but remain predominantly cali girls and eschew any diversity.

From what i heard, aphi tanked this year as many cross rushed and chose other houses.

DG hit a solid class but have moved down to middle tier.
