sorority legacy

i’m planning on rushing next yr, and i know i’ll be at a disadvantage bc i’ll be a 2nd yr by then but will it help that i’m a legacy of one of the top 4 or do legacies not matter much here?

Most sororities nationally have gotten rid of their legacy policy, so it won’t help you as much as it could’ve a few years ago. Beyond that, legacies don’t really matter here and it’s common to see sisters or families go different houses rather than stick to legacy houses. However, other houses could cut you if they get the feel that you’re 100% going to go your legacy house.

My sister was a pi phi and I still go dropped by them right before pref (which probably turned out to be a good thing) 😂
