BIG 4:
Top Tier: Alpha Phi/Pi Phi
Lower Top Tier: Delta Gamma/Chi Omega
MIDDLE:
Upper Mid Tier: Theta/Kappa
Lower Mid Tier: Gamma Phi/AXO
BOTTOM:
Bottom Tier: Phi Mu/Tri Delta
These ranks have been consistent for the past 15+ years, with the exception of AXO moving up when Phi Mu came to campus. The only thing that will cause another real long lasting shift in tiers is another sorority coming to campus. The sorority that is most preferred in each tier changes year to year, but a sorority can’t move from one tier to another from one pledge class.

If a new house comes to campus I could see AXO or GPhi getting bumped up a tier to compete with kappa and theta. Tri delt should have benefited from phi mu coming to campus but they already are doing worse than them. I wouldn’t be surprised if tri delt loses their house in the next 5-10 years and a new sorority moves in.

mid-tier is where its at-less drama, less stress, better sisterhood, less backstabbing, etc

Honestly I met a lot of girls that ended up getting invited back to aphi/piphi/dg during rush but didn’t get invited back to kappa the first day. It really depends on who you are as a person, middle tiers listen to you and actually care if ur a decent person or not where as the top ones will look at your followers and your looks more. Really just depends

houses will drop a girl early if it seems like she’s going to have more options (especially top tier options) to make room for girls who are more similar to the girls already in their house, it’s not based on perceived shallowness or depth lol. there are girls who get cut from more houses that end up in aphi/pi phi/dg/chi o, but most of my friends who ended up in top tier houses only had 1 or 2 houses cut them

I would disagree I know a lot of people that went to preference at aphi or piphi and also went to Kappa for pref and some chose kappa over the two or vice versa. Additionally, I know girls who joined the top two houses that also went to pref at tri delt. I don’t think any house drops girls because they think other houses will want them I think it’s all about fit. Also if the houses rush well the girls will chose them in the end so why would they drop them early? Personally I’m not in any of the houses I discussed above but I have friends in all and they are all great choices!

So true. A lot of these ranks are from 10 years ago and there have been some changes in recent years!
