The national fraternity staff and members of FSL partner with the CUIFC to ensure student life safety and to teach accountability. Given the chapter’s troubled history, violations of sanctions had to be met with more serve consequences. When a chapter cannot or will not self-govern, staff and administrators must take action, including membership review and charter action, to secure the future of a healthy, safe, and values-based Greek Life.

It sucks for Sig Ep, but lots of other fraternities need the space. It sounds like Sig Ep alumni and nationals are just going to cash out and sell the house to the highest bidder. So, how much is that going to be? Anyone have an idea based on other houses that have been sold? Also do we call their nationals or their local alumni?

What was sent to alumni and parents
"SigEp is valued partner in higher education® and our purpose is to develop Balanced Men who make a difference in their communities. SigEp expects chapters and brothers to act in accordance with our values. The chapter was given every opportunity to live the values of the fraternity but refused to adopt them in their activities.
The current Colorado Alpha undergraduates have squandered the assistance of Headquarters staff and the opportunities provided through the Balanced Man Program and the Substance Free Facility. They have shown that they care more about being a Boulder drinking club than they do about SigEp's mission and developing balanced men. That is simply not the experience we seek to provide. The cultural issues within this chapter conflicted with our values and were too deeply rooted to change, so therefore the National Fraternity acted responsibly to ensure the life safety of students."
