Pi phi going way down

a lot of pnms this year have been saying the same thing about pi phi and how it feels like an interview at their house and the girls aren’t that nice

Freshman here (hi) going through rush.

None of this is remotely true. Pi phi and alpha phi are both having good rushes. Pi phi is doing very well (they cut a lot of girls in my group already) and there are a handful of girls who are focused solely on getting into pi phi (they know a lot of girls in the house already). Seems like they wanted pi phi before rush even began.

Dg and chi omega are awesome too. Personally, I am hoping to get into one of these two. Cross your fingers and enjoy the week off!

we are def in different groups. I went into rush sure that I wanted to be a pi phi. After this week I'm not so sure. My convos there seemed forced and awkward. My rm is in a different group and said everyone in her group thinks pi phi is rude/fake. they make it very clear that they are only interested in about 5% of the (blond) pnms 😔

Does anyone else here find it interesting that pi phi never denied paying to remove posts re:hazing? 🤔

as a freshman who was dead set on pi phi forever (i’m a legacy), i gotta be honest and say that pi phi did not win me over at all. i’m actually sad that i didn’t like my experiences being “interviewed” by the girls there. no wow factor at all with any of the girls they paired me up with. it felt v awkward and cold.

my best impressions based on my rush experience (and i kept hearing a lot of girls in my dorm and my group sayin the same opinions) is that Alpha Phi was the most amazing and felt most genuine! i loved all my conversations with every girl in the house and they definitely put together the most real datebook parties. the girls really listened to me and i felt solid connection to a wide array of girls there. even if i don’t get a bid from them, i will always like the girls i met there. dg and chio were also pretty cool too but i couldn’t tell if they were being fake with me and were trying to make me feel wanted. so far, rush has been a fun experience and i’m so happy we’re able to be in person. i can’t imagine trying to figure out the best fit any other way! good luck to all the amazing girls i’ve met!

same- I'm a pi phi legacy too. I'm from the South and was groomed from a very young age to be a pi phi (Ring Ching, TTF and angels/arrows everywhere in my house growing up). Did not go pi phi. And you are right, some houses will make you feel like you are going to the top of their bid list and then still cut you. Good luck with rush- I hope you find your home 😊
