Parent here…what is happening with sororities?

I wholeheartedly agree. I think University of Colorado Panhellenic needs to reach out to parents and explain what is going on. Boulder certainly has had their share of hazing scandals over the years. It's time that CU takes a zero tolerance policy against hazing!

Hi concerned mom. I am a member of Greek life at CU, and I can assure you all of these hazing statements are just rumors to make certain houses look bad. I have friends in about every other sorority and no one has been hazed. No need to worry

CU Boulder Panhellenic has a ZERO tolerance policy for hazing and this behavior is absolutely not acceptable. I recommend emailing your concerns to panhellenic@colorado.edu

Thanks, Nah- I haven't been called a "girl" in at least 20 years. I don't know if the story is true or not, but to me (yes, as a MOM) it is very concerning that Panhel won't make an official statement. If this is a "fake story" as you say, then you and your sisters need to get in touch with Panhel ASAP and ask them to issue an official statement that they have not received any reports of hazing and that they are no investigating any hazing complaints. They owe at least that much to any wrongfully accused house IMO. In the meantime, your house (and probably others too) might miss out on getting some really great girls because hazing (even rumors of hazing) are a bad look for all of CU Greek Life. Good luck with Rush (even though you sound really mean and hopefully aren't representative of Boulder Greek Life) 😳

Panhel is suppose to issue a statement for PNM's and their parents confirming that they have not received any hazing complaints on any CU Sororities prior to the start of Round 2

Hi PNM Mom.I would encourage you not to take this site too seriously. If you search other schools you will see other similar posts so it’s obvious that those posting here more than likely don’t go to CU.
There are a lot of non-Greeks out there that want to see the end of Greek life around the country so they get on here and stir up crap. I would guess that 85% of what is on here was written by a non-Greek person.
Every sorority has something to offer and hazing is not tolerated at all. Good luck to your daughter if she is considering sorority recruitment.

@panhellenic- Thank you for addressing. In talking with some of the other PNM moms I know, the big concern wasn't initially the posts, but the fact that posts regarding hazing started to mysteriously disappear. And then we found out that you can pay to have posts removed which made all of us even more suspicious of the whole situation......
