Sig Ep will be having fall rush and are in good standing w nationals as well as CU ifc now

Fraternities here, including SigEp, have developed a reputation of being organizations that exist to promote alcohol consumption. Frats are known in the media and in our campus communities as havens for illegal, dangerous drinking. SigEp is changing this. Removing alcohol from our chapter sends a clear message about what we value and what we do not value. We are recruiting men who share our values and will help SigEp model the way for other CU fraternities to follow.

SigEp is committed to being a different kind of fraternity – one that recognizes the importance of the out-of-classroom experience and is committed to making that experience the safest and most empowering part of a college male’s life. SigEp is unique in that our chapter house and all fraternity events are alcohol and substance free by choice. The brothers feel that the brotherhood we are constantly striving to build does not require alcohol to exist.

I want to join a dry frat because I don't drink and don't really want to surround myself with those that do (no offense to others, just my belief system), but I've heard that a lot of the "dry" frats aren't really as dry as they seem. Anyone out there know of a frat that's actually as dry as it claims to be?

SigEp's new substance-free policy helps ensure that our chapter house does not serve as a haven for dangerous and illegal underage drinking. Starting with our chapter's adoption of substance-free bylaw on August 1, our chapter home is substance-free and therefore became an environment in which it is easy to do right and hard to do wrong. Our new policy makes our chapter facility safer for members, guests, parents, resident scholars and faculty allies.
