what do sororities look for?

To be honest, to get into either sorority you need to be very good looking and social. Very few girls in either sorority who aren’t both. Beyond that having a good resume of high school extracurriculars, a decent GPA, and being very outgoing and easy to talk to during rush! Alpha Phi and Pi Phi are the most selective in their recruitment process so basically if you aren’t the whole package of social skills, looks, and resume you aren’t getting a bid. Keep your mind open during rush, every house here is great! Even if you can’t get into the most selective top houses you’ll find your fit.

agree with last post with great advice! good luck next fall! just stay realistic and open to all the sororities as you rush. Alpha Phi and Pi Phi are the two most selective houses which make them both the hardest to get into. i know many girls who were dropped by both houses after the first date book party (and some were even legacies with great personalities). it’s hard to day exactly what they’re looking for specifically but you need to be the most well-rounded kinda girl along with really pretty looks and a great personality. yes, alpha phi and pi phi are the houses that most every girl really wants most, but remember to trust your own process and you’ll find the house you’re meant to be in. you don’t have to be in the most top tier houses to love being in a sorority. cu has so many strong houses that are fun and social. so even if you don’t make it into the two you want most, you can still find yourself loving greek life at cu! hope you discover this truth on your own.

My roommate was invited back to Pi Phi and she could be considered "the whole package" and yet SHE dropped them. She got her first choice house and loves it.

Keep your options open going in!

if you're happy with whatever you get then why ask this question? no hate, but if you're already going into the process with two houses on your mind you might not be very happy with how your experience goes. girls who go into the process with open minds to all houses tend to end up much happier. good luck tho!
