If your family doesn't make over $250,000 a year you're considered poor. The top houses want connections and families with heavy tradition. There are plenty of houses for every walk of life and the worst is when a lower class rushee tries to act like their upper class. It's obvious and will only hurt your chances in the long run, so don't even try it. You should know where you fit in by now and rush accordingly. Hope this has been helpful.
