do sororities actually care/talk about their rank?

by:

so i am in my second sem at a sorority here, and i have really never heard anyone in my sorority talk about our so called rank, and we never talk about other chapters' "ranking" or "tier"... like it's just pretty no judgement and we don't look down on any other chapter (or aspire to overtake any "higher" ones either. i only have friends in one other house and they said that their sisters do occasionally talk about it and can be a bit intense about "keeping their spot secure", but that is all i got. just wondering if rank/tier or whatever is a big topic in other houses and if some do really look down on others.... is the panhellenic community actually tight here or do some houses have a reputation for not being the kindest or most open to others?

Speaking as a Tri Delt I think like we dont give a crap but occasionally feel like since we are the 'unpopular' house that people tend to overpass the good things that we do as well in terms of sisterhood and philanthropy. But I also feel like when we get put down it's not other panhellenic sororities it's frat guys. The girls are generally chill. We actually had a social with Gphi last night which was super fun. I think as a community of women we are much more unified than it would appear during formal recruitment.

As a member of an associate chapter, I’d say everyone knows the “rankings” but ultimately it’s never talked about much. Girls have better things to talk about during chapter and in regular conversation.
