We found that many pnms would drop out of recruitment if they didn’t get in to the same house as their rg. I think the main goal is to make sure that pnm’s don’t spend the week trying obsessively to guess the house of their rg’s, and instead focus on building their relationships with each house. Additionally, it discourages pnms from speaking poorly about houses, because they wouldn’t want to hurt their Rho gamma’s feelings. Hope this helps!
