so i think i made a mistake
by: sosok so this last year i transferred from a school in the north to an SEC school (very different i know) only because tuition was half the price (i absolutely loved my last school though) and picked my current school because first, it's cheap, easy to get into and also had my sorority here, and dont get me wrong this school is known for being fun (your typical large southern school) and I have had fun here but im slowly starting to realize I maybe schould've looked else where I just dont think the people here are my best fit and I say this because I recently saw Boulders tutition isnt far off from what im paying now and also has my sorority (which isnt a huge deal for me but defs helps when you go somewhere not knowing anyone) so yeah im becoming really regretful....Im more than likely going to stick it out bc who transfers twice lol...but yeah I guess im just looking for opinions of anyone who knows what the sec is like and there opinion of it compared to boulder?? thanks

I'm sorry to hear that you don't like your new school, i don't know what to say about CU but I'm curious to see what other people do as I'm also a northerner at a very southern state school and I'm transferring next year as I can't stand it. I don't know if it'll be boulder yet but it's definitely on the table. And if I was you, I would definitely try to find somewhere I could be happy instead of just sticking it out: I'm assuming you'll be a junior next year, and plenty of people transfer as juniors so you should be fine!

Well if you aren't actually from the south we very well might. I'm not in a house here, but I'll be transferring as a sophomore so I was thinking about rushing at my new school. And since I go to a state school i just feel left out, like everyone has family and connections and I don't, which wouldn't bother me if i felt like I fit in culturally but I just can't do the "southern" thing if you know what I'm saying. I didn't like that my school was in the middle of nowhere and dependant on greek life for a social life, and it wasn't a very good school for my major at all. It just all seemed very preachy and judgy, which I didn't like. And our tailgates were pathetic. Hope that helps lol and I wish you the best!
