do i have to be rich to rush?

Not gonna lie, sororities(well at least mine) research each PNM before recruitment. This research includes looking at your social media accounts, looking at your high school grades & test scores, and verifying your parents’ income(s). While money is not the only thing we look for in sister, it is vital that dues are paid because if you can’t pay, you can’t stay and when you don’t pay, you’re hurting your sorority by making everybody else pay more.
As far as outfits go, I wore dresses from various places that were about $50 each and nice shoes($100+). My advice would be don’t wear clothes from Forever 21, H&M, or cheap online stores like Shein or AliExpress and you’ll be fine. The important thing to remember is despite what you’re wearing, sororities will be wanting to see if you fit into their sisterhood, so just be yourself!!

Ok, that sounds more reasonable lol. I know I wouldn't have any problem paying dues but some of these responses scared me, especially since there's definitely some schools out there where money really is paramount (@ half of Alabama and the SEC) side note does the same go for sophomores? I'm thinking of transferring for next year
