why do sororities not do much with phi tau

I got a pref night from phi Tau and there probably tied with kap sig for my top choice, I like phi Tau more but j heard they don't do much with top sororities or really any sorority. why is this and is this likely to change with how good everyone is saying there rush went. Thanks
