I think the bottom line is that we go to Boulder, where majority of girls who join the greek system are pretty
fun, social, involved girls that like to party. If you weren't into that you probably wouldn't have come to boulder and joined a sorority.
Of course we can try to argue who is at the top/middle/bottom but in reality the "lower tier" definitely has a lot of cool girls in them. In all honestly a lot of our lower tier houses would be considered a upper tier at a LOT of schools. We just happen to go to a school where the percentage of good looking people is kind of ridiculous, and most people are very social so it's much harder to really say _____ house is the hot house, ______ house is the party house, _______ house is the nerdy house etc. Obviously certain houses fit into the stereo types more than other houses, but the stereo types only mean so much, if you're not in the "best" house it's not going to ruin your social life here. \n\n\n\n\n

Well said, Truth. I think all of the chapters at CU need to simply sit back and focus on the positive aspects of their own chapters, the greek system as a whole the principles of Panhellenic instead of nit picking and focusing on superficial things. Each sorority has great members, many are pretty, many are studious, some can be outgoing while others may be shy and quiet. There may also be girls who have inner beauty that shines brightly in their own way but instead of valuing those inner qualities, this site encourages votes on whether a girl is "hot" or "cool." It takes all kinds of girls to make any sorority successful - including strong leaders and helpful participants. Reputations CAN change. Why not focus on the positives instead of encouraging meanness and competitiveness. Take a look too at successful greek systems at larger universities and you will see a very supportive and positive environment. With that as a goal, I believe the CU greek system will grow!

A group is only as strong as its weakest link so instead of bashing and worrying about tiers Greeks at CU and other campuses might spend energy strengthening all chapters to grow the system into something to be proud of. So to the chapters doing informal this week, I wish you all a successful rush! And go Buffs!

I'm in the greek system and this is what i'd rank them...
1. DG
2. Chi-O
3-4. Kappa (Pi Phi and Kappa could swing 3 or 4...depends on who you talk to)
3-4. Pi Phi
5. A-Phi
6.Theta
7. G-Phi
8. AXO
9. Tri-Delt
But like everyone has said before...every house is so beautiful and has their own sisterhood. When you go through recruitment you fall in love with certain houses that are meant for you, so rankings don't even matter in the long run.

I'm not a chi o but come on, they definitely are a "top house". they do well in recruitment and are very involved. they don't have a great sisterhood compared to some other houses but come on, they are still "top". DDD and AXO have some nice girls but they haven't done anything to improve their standing! they both ranked at the bottom in recruitment, aren't very involved in greek community events. if they were moving up they would have IMPROVED in recruitment
