Pros of ifc:
1. better rush?- Freshmen are going to do ifc rush but some may not stop by ksig/sig pi so the ifc houses may get better rush numbers. However ksig/sig pi have still managed to get good classes
2. Sorority relations: it's harder to have mixers with non ifc, also Greek week
3. Nationals like it better- at least for my chapter it's ifc or no chapter there is no other option
Cons:
1. sopro/other things ifc can do- sopro can seriously screw your chapter, no mixers, formal, date dashes, registers at chapter house. Only left with annex parties but ifc is trying to make these have the same rules as the chapter houses. It also seems like the ifc favors the smaller chapters and goes after the big ones.
2. The fee your chapter has to pay them
3. The person in charge is a bottom tier alcoholic

Yes the old dude. And also emphasis on con #1 look at sig nu. They were rising definitely upper middle tier and now they are screwed.
