Can't say for sure how it happened for you but I can say that when I rushed, I KNEW which house I was going to be in. There wasn't any doubt. But Panhel told us not to put down only one choice even after pref night so I left all 3 of my houses there.

Well lo and behold, I get a bid from my #2 choice. I was so upset. I didn't feel like I actually had a connection there so I dropped. Afterwards, my rush crush from the sorority I wanted told me that it wasn't their doing, Panhel had sorted the girls to even out the numbers and she was really sad to see I wasn't on the list.

I don't know if that was true because I never participated in recruitment but maybe it is. And maybe it was a Panhel numbers choice instead of a sorority choice.
