how expensive is it? (fraternities)

I've read through the IFC recruitment book, but the numbers are so varied (like $500/year to $3000/year)... So: how much money can I expect to spend on rush/pledging/initiation? What's a good guesstimate for dues a year? If you're offered a bid, when do you have to pay?

Between 700-900 a semester depending on the house

You're right.. I can't afford it. But my parents can. Need to ask these questions so that I can ask for the right amount of money.

Dues are in the 800-1500 range. Don't know a fraternity here with dues above 2k. It's too bad, because daddy's got money.
