I have had the unfortunate experience of interacting with some of these girls. When I was at a party, this girl (who was a mutual, so that's how I know she's in Alpha Phi) called me a mexican (I'm hispanic) because she was angry that I accidently bumped into her. Hopefully this isn't common within this sorority.

A Phi is full of very rude women that only care about looks and social status. If you are rushing this coming fall don’t let their popularity fool you they don’t care about true sisterhood, they care about looks. They have recently been called out because of racism and the extreme lack of diversity. While during rush i was paired with an extremely rude girl who gave me very degrading looks and made me feel horrible about myself, this almost made me drop. While in line for rush a girl who is now in A Phi was pestering me about my darker skin and insisting I was lying about my race. Yes there are some bad apples in every batch but these are the types of girls that are in A Phi and the behavior they let slide. There’s other sisterhoods at Boulder that are much more accepting and loving.

They recently kicked a girl out for a bunch of snapchats the surfaces of her saying the n-word. However, I believe they only did that because it came to the eye of the public. They have been cowards during this time; they turned off comments on their posts because they couldn’t deal with people calling them out on their privilege; they’ve deleted posts; they didn’t post anything until people called them out, and even then, it was defensive and obviously just something to cover them up and not because they care. Sure, they have a few POC in their sorority, but they never embrace any diversity. They only show tall, skinny, white girls on social media. The girl the recently kicked out just shows the type of people they recruit. They only care about their reputation, not about the members.Of course, there are some incredibly kind-hearted girls, but the organization as a whole disgusts me.

Recently had to drop a girl due to racism but don’t let that change your mind about the girls that are in it. Girl was dropped for good reason. Some of the nicest girls on campus, fun, outgoing, caring. I can always count on an Aphi to look after me if I ever get in trouble at a party or on campus. They have such a mix of girls. Don’t let their “reputation” of being white, blonde, and rich scare you because spending one day with them will show you who they really are. A top sorority for a reason, they have the smartest, prettiest, nicest girls who go above and beyond for their philanthropy. As a non sorority girl that’s definitely the one to rush. Don’t be too quick to judge, and don’t let stereotypes cloud who they really are. A fantastic group of classy women. The best at CU.

Most socially aware and mindful sorority that promotes love and acceptance both in their chapter and on campus. Represents a kind, caring and accepting culture that’s socially and emotionally responsive by empowering its sisters to not only look out for each other but open their hearts to cultivate change and support in making this world a better place for all. As a sorority, they definitely do their part in fostering socially conscientious awareness and responsiveness in making CU a dynamic college environment. Alpha Phi will always strive to be the best version of Greek life alongside all the other sororities in Boulder.
