I would recommend emailing the President and Recruitment Chair at every sorority and strike up a rapport. You should be able to find this info on the Greek page on the Univ. website or their individual websites. Give them a level of your background including GPA, major, hometown, why you're interested in joining a sorority including how you're a Sophomore transfer.

Take it from there - try not to take any non-responses personally or make any lasting impressions because some people, great and not-so-great, are great responders ALL the time.

Taking the initiative is always impressive and makes an impression.
