diversity in greek life

Why is there almost no diversity in greek life at UC? Kinda concerning and it makes me wonder if minorities are kinda scared off by it.

It’s not like minority’s aren’t in top frats. I know a few (small amounts) in Beta, SAE pike and Delt. All probably the premier chapters excluding Delts suspension. It’s not really concerning because if they’re interested it’s an open option for minority’s

The whole utopian idea of "diversity" is a Gen Z mirage. Where's the "diversity" in the real world? Say I live in Mason -- yes, there's a ton of Indians, but do they socialize with non-Indians? Heck no. Same thing at large companies. Truth is most people feel more comfortable socializing with people who look like them. If a dude or dudette breaks from the mold and wants to fit in? Awesome. Happy to have them on board....but it has to be something both the prospective member and the fraternity want to do.

a big part of the issue is that white kids at UC just don’t want to break out of their boundaries and meet people who don't look like them. or worse, they want to be highly selective in meeting the people who don’t look like them in order to maintain exclusivity.
