question - stratford houses
by: UCNowI have seen comments that sororities that are located at stratford heights have a disadvantage over other houses not located there. what exactly is the reason?

The Stratford houses are owned by UC so if those sororities are unable to fill their houses UC will place random freshman there. It happened to Phi Mu one year. Plus having an actual house is a lot more personal to the chapter, everyone would prefer to have an actual house than to be in Stratford but it’s not possible without having the money and long standing history of being an established chapter at UC. All of the newer sororities are in Stratford.
