rushing as a junior--what can i expect?
by: cautiousI'm planning to rush next semester as a junior (non-transfer) and I'm curious about sororities' general attitudes toward juniors? Obviously it will be more competitive. Are there more spots than for sophomores or is it the same? Will they expect a good excuse for why I haven't joined Greek life before? Are there certain houses that tend to take juniors more? Thanks!

Some chapters are more open to taking juniors than others, it just usually depends on their quota and at the end of the day if you're cool then you'll get a bid. Usually quota goes Fresh/Sophomore and then Juniors separately. I do admit that some of the lower houses are more open to taking Juniors, but you should go through rush with an open mind and you'll be fine!
