how does preference night work in spring recruitme

I'm confused about how preference night/the bid process works during spring COB. Would I get a bid (assuming I make it that far, haha) the day after preference night? What if one chapter's preference night is a few days later than another's? Any explanation of the process would be appreciated. :)

I know Bid Day will be the day after Pref Night-- but I'm not sure what the policy is when one house finishes recruitment before another :/ You are allowed to receive multiple bids in Spring, so maybe there will be a time period allowed before you accept your bid? I'm not sure so I'd like to know too.

(Not saying I'm expecting multiple bids or any bids but it would be good to know)

The reason that you are confused is that there is no one single way that any chapter does it in spring. In COB the house can bid anyone anytime and have a preference party or not.
