2nd round cuts

by:

I was dropped from my top four choices. The other houses I didn't really click with but they keep inviting me back and I don't want to go back so should I just drop?

You should continue to go. If you keep an open mind you might find yourself pleasantly surprised. You should also ask yourself if you really want to be in a sorority (making friends, having fun and new experiences) or if you just wanted to be in one of the sororities you thought you fit in, but didn't. I guarantee you there are countless girls year after year who are really glad they stuck it out. Leave your ego in the dorm and continue with recruitment.

^^ this. A lot of girls think they belong in a top house and just drop when they get cut from all of them. So many girls read this stupid site and go in with pre-impressions of houses. There are party girls at every house, there are quiet studious girls at every house. There are hotties at every house. There are more homely girls at every house . Whatever you're looking for, with 100+ girls in each house you'll find it. Everyone wants to join a top house. People drop when their ego doesn't line up with the reality that the houses they want don't think they're a good fit. It hurts nothing to keep going, if you want the social aspect and a sisterhood. But if you're gonna have a poor attitude and be mean to the sisters because you "don't want to be there but they keep inviting you back" then please save them the hurt and drop. The sisters at all the houses are people too. And if you wouldn't be rude to them in class don't be rude to them in recruitment.

My top four were good mid tier houses not top ones so stop saying that I have an issue with my ego, I just can't see myself in the other houses that are distributed all over the spectrum of houses.

Your response indicates that you do have an ego issue and you are placing too much emphasis on the rankings.

There are always girls who drop out because of these same two reasons and lose out on the fun of greek life.

Good luck. Hope you find 100+ great friends on your own.

"Hope you find 100+ great friends on your own." -- that is so not true on so many levels. Sorry so many of us don't have to pay $1500 for these 100 great friends. I have friends in so many houses and they barely know so many girls so please.

Solid advice on here. Would like to emphasize that there is a lot of luck involved in recruitment. Try not to feel too bad or compare your options to your friends'.
