by: ????what's gonna happen to AOPI since they won't have the house? are they still gonna have recruitment/events throughout the year?

From what I've read, their nationals were trying to take ownership of the house (since it's worth several million). The girls voted that they'd rather continue operating the house under the local alumni board and take down the letters than turn it over. Pretty badass move by the chapter tbh.

I mean... From what I've heard it sounds more serious than "just not having letters on the outside of the house". Yeah frats steal letters, but those houses are still recognized by their nationals.
"Effective as of September 3, 2015, the current AOII Sigma Chapter house at 2311 Prospect Street will no longer be recognized as an AOII facility. After that date, no AOII activities will be permitted at the location. In addition, Sigma 1916 will no longer have permission to use or display the name “Alpha Omicron Pi,” the Greek letters “AOII,” or any other Fraternity trademarks or insignia, and the letters on the house will have to be removed. Although it will no longer be a recognized AOII facility, members may continue to live in the house per the terms of their housing agreements with Sigma 1916, Inc."
Are they still going to be AOII? It doesn't really sound like it from the national's webpage. If no AOII activities are permitted, does that mean no initiation/chapter meetings/etc? It's not like the AOII members did anything wrong. This whole thing is a housing dispute basically, but it doesn't sound as simple as "we'll be fine. It's just like a frat stole our letters" either.
