junior rushing

by: Confused

I'm not a transfer but am a junior rushing, I know there's a stigma about older girls rushing but I just feel like being Greek is something that is missing in my life. Didn't rush as a sophomore cause of some personal matters. Is there hope? Any girls who were in my position and are in a house now, how was the transition?

You'll be fine, you probably know people in the Greek system already. Regardless, junior quota will help you. The transition is all on how involved you plan on getting

She said it best. The transition is really all up to you. You can either be like what "Meh" said - a Debbie Downer or be like what "Hi" said - a Polly Positive. Being in Greek Life is what you make of it. You can make a lot of friends by being open-minded despite the age gaps or you can choose to not be active and lose out on the many fun experiences.

Stop trying, not worth. Girls in my house who rushed as juniors and got in (very few) never were around and didn't really fit into a pledge class. It was kinda sad. Juniors already had cliques and their pledge class was much younger

Both replies are so contrasting, and I'm in the same position as op. Feedback would be nice

I recently met some alums who never went Greek when they were Juniors because they felt that it was too late. Looking back they wished they rushed because whenever they see some of their friends who are Greek, they notice the bond they have with their sisters. And they also see the instant bonding when they meet a sorority sister from other schools. They now regretted not rushing because they felt that they missed out on the opportunity of experiencing college life.

Rush and get into a house and drop later if it turns out bad
Otherwise you will never know, because there is a chance of it turning out good
