fees for frats

Can someone tell me what frats pay on average during a quarter? I'm a freshman who's thinking of rushing next fall. My friends at other UCs usually pay around $500. I'm just wondering how much the new member fees are and how much it costs as an active member.

I don't know much about Greek life here and my friends do go to schools on the quarter system so I'm thinking fees here might be higher? My sister is affiliated at another UC and I know sororities pay through the nose for this stuff. However, she does work and is in a chapter that's not super expensive so she pretty much supports herself. My family isn't super rich so I'm wondering if it's worth it.
