In my opinion, you can only true distinguish Kappa and PiPhi as the top houses and Theta and GammaPhi as the lowest houses when it comes to looks. The rest all look the same overall, with some houses more or less s!.!!y and with more or less white and blonde girls. People distinguish between the middle ones way more than they should.

Yes, there are maybe like 5-10 girls out of around 130 in the top and bottom houses that could easily be switched, but looking at them as a group, you'd see a difference. But mainly this is due to the level of minorities/less blonde girls in the lower houses than in the top houses. Higher tier houses are really well dressed too and tend to exude more confidence. The middle houses I would have to agree are relatively indistinguishable and if "tiers" weren't "established" no one would no the difference. The general campus community certainly doesn't.

i was in a "top" sorority at my old school and hated it. the girls seemed really nice and sweet during rush, but once i was initiated and after the pledge period was over, it all changed. it became incredibly superficial and frankly uncomfortable. all our outfits were scrutinized during rush and exchanges, we were basically forced to undergo spray tanning because god forbid we couldn't be happy with our natural skin tone, and it became an overall nightmare, leading me to eventually drop. this along with what i have observed on this site have lead me to believe that the "top" houses are in fact the worst to join. this obviously isnt always true, but just an observation
