It pretty much is the ranking. Though I think, and a lot of people think, that Kappa and SK have hotter girls. Pi Phi girls are too skinny, (like disgusting status).

the ranks aren't only looks however. location, involvement and personality also factor in.

A lot of people are saying the only difference rank makes is in terms of what tier frats each sorority mixes with. Given the frats page has no ranking, what Frats DO each of the houses mix with exactly?

Ranks are pretty much looks, popularity, classiness, and frat mixers. It's hard to say whichfrats each house mixes with because there are usually a couple exchanges every week, meaning each house could pair up with like twenty different frats. There are stereotypes though, like Pi Phi being Fiji's hookup house and AoPi's loving KA.

Yes, girls can be catty and spread rumors about other houses. But that's not always the case. So girls in Pi Phi, Alpha Phi, and ADPi, stop telling commentors to "stop spreading rumors"... no one is TRYING to bring you down, no one NEEDS to make things up because you are bringing yourselves down by hazing the hell out of your new mems or excluding girls representing your house.

To PNMs: Stay away from houses with shady reputations... it's not worth the risk of social probation next year, which totally hurts a sorority's image and rank... unless you're Sigma Kappa, who had nothing to lose and somehow cleaned up.

Generally, the top tier (KKG, PiPhi, DG, SK) associate with tiers 1 and 2.
The mid (AOPi, AXO, ChiO, APhi) associate with tiers 2, 3 and 4.
The bottom tier (DDD, ADPi, GPhiB, Theta) associate with mainly tier 4 and "the rest".

These are all generalizations though and mixing depends on the social chairs and prior reputations (houses that rose or fell recently might still party with the same frats they used to for a while after ranking changes are known and accepted by the frats).

Agree. If they were "rumors" then all houses would have some sort of rumor attached to it. Its only those 3 houses then consistently get docked for their behavior, and its by multiple users.

You may as well as AXO to the plain and unattractive. Both looks and personality wise, they are the DEFINITION of plain.

Higher end frats want to party with girls who are both attractive and relatively fun. The top ones like KKG, PiPhi, SK and DG. The higher mid and mid ones also like APhi, AOPi and ChiO.
