My personal bit of input on these things, though: Many girls will try to get into the "highest" house they can, but don't assume anything based on that. Not all girls do that. Pi Phi isn't just girls who "didn't get into Kappa", and bottom tiered girls aren't always "ones who didn't make the cut". Yes, there are a lot of people who fit those descriptions, but there is also a reasonably sized minority who doesn't. Personally I picked a middle house over a top house because I thought they were extremely well rounded girls and I haven't regretted it. Ranks change over the years anyway; how you get along with a group is less likely to change. Do what makes you happy. Stereotypes can help you generalize, but they aren't the answer to everything

Although IMO, all the houses have some cute girls. Maybe less for the bottom tier.

if you're just judging in terms of spring rush, DDD and theta got better pledges than gphib...not by much but a bit. Did adpi even do spring rush??

They all had really had spring classes IMO. Especially Theta. ADPi had some "invite only" spring rush event. I think they always do that.

Can someone explain what exactly is considered in the rankings of the houses? Is it just looks? Also who really decides on them? Frat guys?

Its pretty much exclusively looks. When two or more sororities are tied (Ie Pi Phi/SK) then usually the tie breaker is classiness. Pi Phi is the epitome is unclassy.

Same as the person below said. Its exclusively looks (thats why Theta is bottom. If personality mattered, they'd be much higher up...) Traditionally the top fraternity houses deciede based on their exchanges. Its hard for lower houses to get out of the bottom since they dont mix with the top houses. (Some of them wouldnt want to anyway.)
