Agree, if your going to self-rank, be more subtle about it. If you give all 5's, then someone is going to give you all's ones so you at least average out to a 3, which is there most sororities are anyways.

Upper Houses:

Kappa (nr.1 undebatably, going to remain that way because they will get their pick of PNMs)

DG (second only to Kappa, they'll compete for the same PNMs next fall and probably won't slide in the rankings)

SK (has lots of pretty girls to recruit PNMs, since PiPhi has fallen they'll be the nr.3 house, they'll probably be top instead of high mid after next rush since they'll continue to get gorgeous girls and their reputation isn't bad)

PiPhi (has fallen, PNMs next rush will probably think twice about joining a house known to be full of rude girls and probably won't choose PiPhi over Kappa, DG or SK, will be last of the top tier)

AOPi (has risen a lot recently, their nice yet also pretty girls will help them get PNMs, they have a very clean reputation and now that they're getting involved more, they'll likely lead mid tier after fall 2012)

ChiO (has slipped in the rankings a bit as it got not so cute girls recently, they'll still be mid tier as they have a nice rep)

Those explanations are pretty good.

But really it depends on what a PNM wants. Personally I think any house is worth considering up to AXO, nothing below.

ANY HOUSE is worth being in. It'll provide you with an experience of a lifetime. 20 years from now, rankings will have changed, no one will remember that you weren't in the hottest sorority. All you'll have is the sisters that you've befriended. They'll be bridesmaids at your wedding, and they'll be at your funeral when you die. The Greek system is amazing because you built friendships that will last a lifetime. Its true, you can get friendships without having to pay thousands of dollars a year, but what you share with your sisters, the secrets, the memories, will be something others wont have. And you'll be connected to sisters all over the world because of your shared experiences.

Wrong. There are houses not worth being in. It's not worth the money to be uninvolved. It's not worth being hazed. It's also not worth being in houses that are either very cliquey or a lot of drama. And it's not worth being in houses that hide girls who don't fit a certain image. Yes I singled out the bottom houses, but they're bottom for a reason besides popularity. It's not just a shallow comment.

I agree. I also think the best way to promote your house is to say good things about other houses. Its shows Class. I'm in a "lower" house, but the ladies of DG have been extremely respectful, and I think they're a great choice for any PNM. I think SK's' picked it up a lot too with how they interact with other Greek ladies, same with Kappa.
