wait, since when is GPhiB not the lowest house? I thought that was a generally known fact....

To the person below I think it depends what you are ranking by. Theta and GPhib are both known for being unattractive, but GPhiB has improved slightly and Theta took a pretty bad recruiting class. Some say the same for tridelt. It's pretty close among those three... but a lot of people still do think Gamma Phi is bottom, that hasn't changed. A lot of other ranks have though,

Okay, thanks that makes sense. I always thought people generally thought better of theta because they are supposedly a lot friendly/nicer/classier than gphib...but in terms of looks they are pretty much the same? but tridelt is usually thought of as hotter than theta/gphi, no?

Last rush changed a lot of ranks, especially what used to be in the middle-- a couple went up, a lot went down. PNMs please be aware that reputations change with time, so older posts may not be as accurate. Recent rankings:

I agree with the below but to this I must add that the exact order doesn't matter as much as the so-called tiers. There is often little difference among the houses within a tier.
The current tiers are:

TOP:
Kappa Kappa Gamma
Pi Beta Phi
Delta Gamma (slightly below KKG and PiPhi, but still top)

HIGH MID:
Sigma Kappa
Alpha Phi

SOLID MID:
Chi Omega
Alpha Omicron Pi

LOW MID:
Alpha Chi Omega
Alpha Delta Pi

BOTTOM:
Delta Delta Delta (slightly above GPhiB and Theta, but still bottom)
Gamma Phi Beta
Kappa Alpha Theta

Ratings also change year by year. Some houses are currently on the rise (APhi, SK, AOPi, GPhiB) and others are currently falling (ChiO, ADPi, Tridelt).

There are two kinds of nice sororities.

GPhiB, Theta: Nice but bottom tier, people say they "take anyone" which might not necessarily be true, but those are considered the bottom sororities in appearance but they make up for it in niceness.

ADPi is nice, but they're considered bookworks/quiet girls etc. Respectable, but plain looking girls, some are very introverted.

AXO and AOPi have girls known for being sweet, and they are pretty, so they're higher tiered than the previous three. However, these houses have locations that are a street or two behind Greek Row, which decreases their visibility and to some extent their popularity.

Pi Phi: Considered a top sorority, usually second to Kappa. These girls are known for being extremely rude -- I'm not talking just snobby hot girls, but downright rude.

Kappa is usually considered #1, and along with that comes the mean girl reputation. However most people will agree that they are at least more civil/polite than Pi Phi.

SK/ Alpha Phi: The two "high mid" tier sororities. The girls are known for being "hot" but extremely fake (think obvious fake tans and way too bright hair). These houses are revered by the frats as party goddesses but are infamous for dirty rushing, hiding less attractive girls, and major in house drama. Also their houses are behind Greek Row.

TriDelta: Considered almost a bottom sorority, some say they have lots of drama... debatable. I personally like them, but most people think they're slipping in looks and personality

Delta Gamma: usually considered the third best sorority, top or high mid tier. Most people say they are quite polite, but some think of them as snobby. Its up to you.

Chi Omega: House that gets varying reviews. Most say they're the boring house that is the least memorable, but they're considered "high mid" tier. Some say their house is very sweet "sunshine house" -- others say they're snobby and talk down on other houses. I'm not sure which is true and it may just be a mix.
