should i do spring rush or wait till the fall?

My friends in Greek life all have advised me to try fall rush because I'll be exposed to all 12 houses and can pick one which I really want to be in. I would like to try spring rush but I'm also taking a computer science class (for my minor) and I'm wondering if this is the best course of action? I guess I already answered the question but I'm just looking for some more insight before I make a decision.
One more question: Is Tri Delta really as bad as people say it is? I've heard positive reviews in person but coming on here is a different story. I'd love to hear answers that aren't catty.
