A fair assessment is that they're more into themselves, and building sisterhood/friendships/etc than they are into hanging out with frats/doing stereotypical sorority stuff. They're just a lot of girls who joined the greek system for reasons other than partying. The ones that do party that are in GPB end up doing things like going to bars/raves together. The house is just a bit random, so they get flack.

I'm in a frat at cal, so let me tell you from a dude's perspective:
GPhi is by far the least attractive of any sorority - they just have very few good looking girls as a whole (bottom of the bottom) so most frats don't want to exchange/associate with them. However, most of the girls seem pretty nice and down to earth. They call pretty much everyone back though, so I wouldn't really try too hard to get in

Most people coming into greek want to be in a "top house" even if it wouldn't be a good fit for them. At 17 or 18 being popular is still hugely important. And no one is gonna ever argue that Gphi is anything close to a top house. However, Gphi has a lot of cute, sweet girls and is super racially diverse, which is more important to some people than others. I do think it's a far better option than not being greek at all, since they still do exchanges, socials, invites and everything else that other houses do and seem to have a really tight sisterhood. This site is like the YouTube comments section of Greek life. Take it with a grain of salt and go see for yourself. :)
