gpa cutoffs for the different sororities?

The National PHC standard GPA cutoff is a 2.5, but I know that different sororities have their own respective cutoffs...some of their GPAs can be higher than this. Anyone know what the GPA cutoffs for ZTA, AOPi, Chi Omega, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and Delta Gamma are at Berkeley?

This is UC Berkeley. The GPA's of the girls going through is going to be sky high.

The minimums for all of the houses according to the Fall 2013 Recruitment handbook:
AChiO - 2.5
ADPi - 2.8
AOPi - 2.75
APhi - 2.3
ChiO - 2.5
TriDelt - 2.6
DG - 2.5
GPhiB - 2.2
Theta - 2.55
Kappa - 2.5
Pi Phi - 2.5
SK - 2.5
ZTA - 2.7

What's posted is university GPAs, not high school GPAs. Most sororities have a different minimum high school GPA for freshman who are rushing.

@Thanks - not necessarily. ADPi is upper-mid tier, and they have the highest one - same is true for AOPi with the second highest. And Gamma Phi has the lowest requirement. Although really they're all in the same ball park.

@lmao - again, no. There's really no trends as far as tiers. Theta and Tri-Delt both have higher minimum GPAs than Kappa, DG, and Pi Phi.

Also, remember, these are MINIMUM GPAs, NOT AVERAGE GPAs.

That's the point. While the other sororities that are considered bottom tier at least still save face somehow by having a higher GPA requirement, GPhiB doesn't. It still has low standards even in this regard. Bottom AF lol.

You're competing against other girls who are coming in from HS with the whole package. And against other upperclassmen who have great grades. If your grades aren't great, you're SOL despite published minimums. Here's how it works: if you are someone with a ton of friends in a house, but maybe your grades are not super high, the minimum GPA may be helpful. But for Annie Average PNM, it's no help whatsoever. Why would any house want a known grade risk?

ps any pnm with a low gpa would be damned lucky to get a bid from any house on that list.
