read this pnm’s
by: readhi, a lot of these posts are saying some houses have “weak sisterhoods” and that a lot of girls drop after joining a house because they realize how toxic it is. that’s not the case. lots of women drop AFTER they go abroad because the school built a new dorm and so now freshmen can’t cancel their housing contracts for second semester and take over girls’ contracts who are going abroad. this means girls who used to only have to pay for their dues while abroad are now paying for their rent in the house since they signed a year-long contract at the beginning NOT because of weak sisterhoods. we’re talking about the difference of girls having to only pay around 600$ a couple years ago to now having to pay 3-5000$ for their rent in the house. don’t let jealous girls calling houses they got dropped from as having weak sisterhoods keep you from joining where you feel like you belong and will thrive the best. that’s all, happy rush

I dropped from a sorority (not APhi, but I've heard only bad things about them) for this exact reason so this post is inaccurate. I'm so grateful to have found another home within Greek life here because the other house was super toxic and full of straight-up Regina Georges.
