why is everyone so self-obsessed?

general question: Why do people care about this so much? It's so subjective and biased, literally contributes nothing positive to greek life and the general atmosphere. It's all a bunch of people "anonymously" shaming each other and putting each other down. Please, guys, get a life and stop defining self-worth or the worth of your frat/sorority based on other people's opinions. Think for yourself.
(don't care if this gets hate, it's an opinion!)
