why are spring frat pledge classes typically smaller

was wondering why spring rush classes are typically smaller. freshman thinking about rushing next semester but is it seen as a negative to not have rushed my first fall?

definitely not a negative, just most kids who wanted to join houses pledged in the fall, that's why the classes are smaller
