don't use rush to self-validate

If you are planning to rush this spring be wary when reading the rankings on this site. Though they do provide some insight to the party culture of each house they don't really mean much beyond that, and you shouldnt be evaluating solely on the perspective of others who aren't even in your house.

It's easy to forget that rush is an opportunity to find a brotherhood that us perfect for you and use it as a tool to boost your self esteem by getting a bid from what is considered a top tier house.I know quite a few people who focused more on getting the brothers in the house to like them during rush than they did on figuring out whether or not they actually liked the brothers themselves and they ended up dropping during pledging.

What matters is how you fit in with the house not how the house sits in the minds of randos who attend it's parties. Most of the rankings come from extremely surface level information and word of mouth so take then with a grain of salt. They don't really mean much.
