phi psi and ato spring semester
by: FirstYearatCalI’m a first year spring admit at Cal and was doing some research about the frats that Cal has to offer. I want a proper balance of partying and academics, and want a large house with diverse kids. So far, I have found these two frats (Phi Psi and ATO) that appeal to me, through their social media and philanthropy. However, how selective are the two when it comes to giving out bids and choosing pledges? What reputation do the two have around campus? Are they known for their hazing rituals? Basically, are my notions about these two frats correct or is there anything else I should know about?

Phi Psi will have pledge classes of around 30 people so of course you won't have the same experience of a pledge class of 10-15 (smaller pledge classes get know each other more personally) and as a result the house in itself has a lot of uninvolved brothers who don't really come around.

Honestly both houses are extremely large and that's not too great for brotherhood. Check out many different houses and see what you like
