delta sig question

Really, this cannot be a TRUE sister in Delta Sigma. There is no way anyone with your eventual intentions (of posting unbecoming snark against Delta Sig on greekrank or anywhere else) would have bothered initiating if you were an actual new member bid earlier this semester. Get a life and post your falsehoods elsewhere, troll.

regardless of if this a troll or not, if you already got initiated it is very unlikely that you would end up being able to join another house. sorry :/ try giving it a shot and making some friends, talk with your big etc

The only hypocrite is you for initiating into our one local group then immediately wanting to drop and join a "real" sorority. Sorority membership is NEVER a game to play, it is a 'for life' proposition that women of purpose, character and dignity have joined for ages. Intentional musical chairs between sorority groups, be they local or national, is distinctly unkind and worrisome.

Interesting question. My guess answer on this one is that DS membership doesn't count as it isn't a member of NPC. So, if you want to deactivate and go through recruitment again it seems like it would be ok. It seems like you knew what you were getting into upfront so trying to leave now looks a little sus and shady. I also don't get why DS doesn't just try to affiliate with another NPC organization? This whole thing of being non NPC is confusing to PNMs that don't understand what exactly that means in the short and long term and really is no help to our community of NPC organizations. Very confusing situation. DS seems more like a housing based social organization/eating club vs a NPC. Don't see why they should be part of panhel at all. I know their situation was horrific last year but there must be a better option for them than being non affiliated. At a minimum though they shouldn't be part of panhel as they aren't NPC.

First of all, it's always best to actually speak to your chapter officers, big, or advisor and ask such basic questions internally instead of posting on such a website. Second, membership and status in relation to the greater Cal and PHC community was most definitely discussed before initiation - otherwise no one would've joined in the first place... Third, DS decided it was best for them to start local and do their own thing - who cares if they didn't want to join a NPC house???
