Might as well just rush SAE for the alum network and everything and they’re on campus now and throwing down far more often and far better

Rush somewhere else. Really hard hazing and a kid from Davis died there a few years ago and the guys didn’t report it till the day after (nobody called 911 or anything). Wouldn’t reccomend. They are one of the reasons that frats are now so strict on bids also unaffiliated so it’s harder to get sorority girls to come bc technically we are told not to go there.

Don’t know how this guys are considered “top”. Never heard of them doing anything

Some of these replies are clearly from inexperienced freshman who have seen less than one semester of Greek life at Cal and have never been to Zete gamedays in previous years. My sorority has been told by many close friends at Zete that they arent going to be actively recruiting or holding parties this year. That being said, they are still involved with all the top sororities and are still thriving socially. The guys are mostly athletes (water polo, rugby, lacrosse and baseball players) from wealthy backgrounds. Rowdy but definitely a lot of fun. Although they are not the most racially inclusive. Also If you are looking to rush next year be wary of their hazing, they definitely have the most grueling pledge process of all the houses at Cal and I've heard many disturbing stories about it. That being said, in all my time at Cal before this year I have seen the quality of their pledge classes and parties. They still have great relations with all top houses plus a rich alumni network. Expect a strong comeback next year when they are off suspension - SAE went through the exact same thing and are still going strong.

They have a long history at Cal and an anthropologist even documented their hazing processes. Just takes a quick search on Google.

honestly will always be top with SAE, Fiji and KA. these guys are definitely the most hardcore in the greek system with the hardest hazing apparently if you are into that. they hang mostly with pi phi and kappa and have the most athletes in their house compared to all the other frats. however, yes, many gnarly things have gone down in their house over the years (rando guy died and nobody discovered his body in one of the bedrooms until the next day.) basically everything @goldensororitystar96 said is true idk why people hate on this house so much and say that its not top when it has been and will definitely be for the next few years at least
