gonna be real, its your national officers that tell you to get more members. they set the quota for your chapter, not just Panhellenic. can we stop stigmatizing COB cause literally everyone does it and its not a reflection of the girls in a house its literally just your nationals wanting more people and therefore $$

The right and privilege to perform COB belongs to any sorority not receiving their full allotment of members. COB recruitment and informal recruitment operate differently than Formal Recruitment. Each sorority makes their own decision whether and how to gain additional members thru either COB or informal methods.
Sometimes it seems sorority recruitment is done in a manner commonly referred to as "secret", a description used often by GDI's but not by the sororities. Describing something as "secret" does not make it so. Perhaps a better term is "selective".

The groups also save time/money on parties/events if they already know the women they invite. More time to study.
