nothing being done about aphi rush violations?

Hi, Gphi's nationals pulled them out of recruitment because their bid list was so small after the massive drops on pref, due in part to the dirty rushing and bid promising if girls dropped out of recruitment.
And yes Aphi did pick up COBs you nitwit, girls who weren't sorted into that house by Panhellenic ended up there because they were given snap bids on bid day/ shortly thereafter

No COBs are in Aphi.. The girls that were on the bid list are the ones in the house. also a COB isn’t a snap bid? Those are completely different.

@the first Lol, how would you even know that aphi got snap bids? Are you in the house or something? This all seems so made up. it’s not ONLY aphi’s fault that gphi didn’t finish recruitment... stop trying to put the blame on one house.

Can confirm, in another house. There are girls who ended up in APhi despite being on our bid list in the past years.


Therefore they dropped out during pref night (and didn't tell anyone so they still ended up with our houses with no intention to going to our bid day.) After bid day, went to go stalk our new members by looking at the bid list, and somehow 2 of those girls went to APhi's bid day. How would they know to do this? Unless they were told to just drop out and show up.

A senior in our house who preferred Us and APhi was also told on pref night to drop outta recruitment and just go to APhi. They were trying to convince her it was better than being in a bottom house.

The fact that the last few Panhellenic presidents and Head recruitment have been from APhi also leads me to believe this is a huge cover up. Aphi always does whatever to get ahead. They gave out candy on house tour nights, by forcing the girls to buy candy and put it out in their rooms for PNM's to take, even though food is not allowed.

I'm calling troll because you should know If your house was "missing women" who attended your pref party and were put on your house bid list, it's because (as you state) these women "dropped out" and therefore couldn't be bid matched due to their not signing a MRABA.

Any women who wish to drop from recruitment after attending pref parties but before signing MRABAs may do so.

Your home's "missing" women definitely were not at your home on Bid Day only because they dropped out after prefs (didn't sign a MRABA) and therefore could not be bid matched to your house. Stop blaming APhi.

OMG you're SO right!!! I totally LOVED Aphi just because they had candy on their beds during house tours!!! That definitely sealed the deal for me!!! :)

ok so if aphi isn't a top house then why do people care if they had rush violations? I went through rush and now knowing the rules, a lot of houses broke the rules in one way or another so how does one girl promising another girl a bid if she drops really make a difference? like one person promising a bid to another ruined the entire rush for everyone else? I know these things need to be addressed but rush has been over for 2 months and people are still upset? Why? be happy with your pledge class! The right girls ended up in your house and complaining about the new members that you have now is just wrong. if someone was able to convince a girl to drop out of rush so she can join later and it was that easy to manipulate her then the PNM obviously didn't want to be in/wasn't right for any other house anyway.

@ok. Don't even know where to begin with your convoluted 'logic' on why rush violations aren't important. The glue that keeps the system together is integrity in our process. We tell PNMs that there is a level playing field because all the houses are held to the same standards in recruitment. However, If the integrity is lost (and it has been many many times) it is as if we are living a lie. APhi brilliantly demonstrated this year (and in prior years) how gaming the system via skirting the rules and yes, lying can work in a system that has lost its integrity. What made the APhi situation so awful this year was how blatantly the house disregarded the rules and even flaunted their behavior on social media for all to watch. I realize Panhel is a joke and the University is asleep at the switch but when behavior becomes so blatant that even PNMs catch on to the tricks then something is seriously wrong. I am surprised more houses haven't complained about APhi. My house did register a formal complaint but we have heard nothing which is quite sad. We plan to bring it up to our national to see if they can attack the issue at the national level. This kind of shady behavior brings us all down and I for one don't want to be reduced to APhi/ground level!
